Be sure to read this really lovely column that Mike wrote about this widow’s husband.

Joann Walker of East Manchester Township stands for a portrait in front of her home with two of the four quilts her late husband Pat made, on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012. Pat Walker made his first quilt four or five years before he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. His wife Joann, an avid quiltmaker, said he then didn't make another quilt until after his diagnosis. Pat completed three more quilts before his death last Wednesday, Jan. 11.
