Shot more high school basketball last night.

True to form, I was run over by a basketball player mid-game. Namely, this one:

This brings my total #occupationalhazard record to five, as I’ve previously been barreled by a pig, run over by two wrestlers, hit by a tree and almost had my camera eaten by a horse. (More on that horse later.)

But yep. It was a good game. And I still need to figure out how to avoid backfocusing on this full-frame camera.
The NBC affiliate in Austin once showed footage of me running out of the way near the endzone as a Texas State player was scoring a touchdown/about to run me down. Oh, work hazards!
Also, how does one get hit by a tree instead of one running into a tree?
Haha, I always crouch or kneel when covering football or soccer — but when it’s basketball or wrestling, I’m definitely sitting on my butt.
I was hit by a falling tree, more precisely, while covering this: https://blog.christhedunn.com/2011/01/25/nature-trail/
