Besides Apple’s iPad 2 announcement, today’s big news was that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of protesters’ rights at military funerals.
I didn’t know it until today, but the grieving father who sued Westboro Baptist Church for protesting his Marine son’s funeral and criticizing him on its website is from the York area. He and his lawyers held a presser in downtown York that was attended by more media than I’ve ever before seen in the area.

Snyder said, "It's been a long five years, and I'm ready to put this behind me and move on."
It was a very interesting decision in that the Supreme Court ignored half the case! Most of the intentional infliction of emotional damages came not from the protests, but from the online “Epic” directly addressing Snyder. That is only mentioned in Alito’s dissent, even though it is a main focus in the trial court and circuit court decisions.
I agree with the decision, but was let down that they didn’t address the actual, difficult part of the scenario.
The lawyers and Snyder agreed in the presser that the Supreme Court didn’t address the more important part of the case, as well.
This church is ridiculous, christians my ass!!!! Who the hell acts like this. Absolutely despicable!!!! I hope they all end up in hell.
