Game 4 of the 2011 Atlantic League Championship series was called off after an hour-long rain delay.
Of course, rain delays, game postponement and a damp 50-degree clime don’t let a newspaper photographer off the hook: We still need to make pictures.

When I approached Florence and her son (below), they were the furthest fans from the concourse and from everyone else.
“This is the stupidest thing I have ever done,” Florence told me, stoicly grimacing. When I pointed out that, despite her sentiment, she was still sitting out in the rain, she retaliated with, “But it’s the championship game, and they could clinch!”
Revs, I hope you appreciate your hard-core fans.
