St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church dedicated its $4 million addition and renovation on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, that was in the works for about six years. The renovations include a larger pipe organ, a double-sided elevator, an updated child-care area, an expanded parking area and a lobby off a new main entrance from West Market Street.

These are beautiful photographs, and I especially like the sunburst in the top image. I’ve never been in this church and didn’t realize how spacious it was.

The sunburst was something I didn’t even notice until I loaded the photos on the computer, but it’s one of my favorite things, too. I’ve had the opportunity to make pictures in quite a few churches in the York area, and I love how beautiful all the churches are.
